The latest instalment in the renovations at Avalon Parade is our new backyard Cabin, or as Toby calls it “my cubby house”. Our neighbours from accross the road didn’t need the cabin they inherited when they bought their house, as they are installing a pool. We need a place for family and fiends to bunk when they pass though, so…..
My mate Steve Wheeler was the foreman, with Dave from next door and myself as labourers (with guest appearances from Iain Murray and Jim Kerr to help carry the walls across the road). After two big days, she’s up!
When I said to “Wheels” that one of the uses for the cabin was for the mother-in-law to stay, he suggested maybe we erect it a couple of suburbs away…..
Anyway, here it is with the Site Manager and her Personal Assistant

Cabin looks brilliant, understand Ali, Joch and Finn doing a test run over Xmas, have a great time, make the most before the in-laws arrive!
