Miami Olympic Classes Regatta
Just returning from Miami, Florida, where Iain and I competed in the Star class at Miami Olympic Classes Regatta.
The regatta was very high in class, with most of the Athens Olympians there and a bunch of very good sailors getting started in their Olympic campaigns towards Beijing. Aside from them, there was the standard line-up of very experienced US sailors to wrestle.

Another Palfrey on the way in July 06!
Yep, Kate’s pregnant again! All going well, Toby and Annabel will have a little brother or sister later in the year.

Tinker, tinker, tinker…….
Had a bit on since mid-December tinkering away on boat bits for the new Star boat we will be using in Miami in a couple of weeks time. Over the Christmas period, I used the oppurtunity of developing something new for the Star class: some composite rigging… Composite rigging is not new to sailing, being in use on boats like the Open 60’s in Europe for years and the grand prix big boat scene for a while now.
